Pasta Arrabiata with Shrimp ingredient list
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add in the penne pasta and cook according to the package directions, stirring occasionally.
Rinse and drain the penne with cold water to keep from sticking together and continuing to cooking. Set the penne aside. We'll be back for it in a few.
In a large skillet heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat. Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel. Sprinkle the shrimp with salt & pepper and add them to the hot large skillet. Cook for 60 - 90 seconds per side.
When the shrimp is opaque in color on both sides, transfer them to a bowl and set aside. Reduce the heat in your large skillet to low. Add the remaining tbs of olive oil and onions. Cook the onions in the olive oil until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add in the garlic. Cook stirring well to combine the flavors. After a few minutes, add the cooked shrimp back into the skillet.
Add the jar of Classic Spicy tomato sauce. Mix for a few moments to fully incorporate all ingredients. Toss in the cooked penne pasta and stir to combine. Add more red pepper flakes for some extra heat.
