Ingredients

  • 3/4 lbs lean ground beef (We like 90/10)
  • 1 Jar Goods Classic Red tomato sauce
  • Olive oil
  • 12 No bake lasagna noodles
  • 16 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 12 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tsp chopped parsley
  • ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & Pepper

Directions

In a large skillet, heat 2 teaspoons of pure olive oil on medium-high heat. Once the skillet and olive oil is hot, add the ground beef and cook until it is lightly browned on all sides. Drain as much fat as possible. Add 3/4 jar of Jar Goods Classic Red tomato sauce. Stir to fully incorporate.

In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta, 3/4 cup mozzarella, 1 egg, parmesan cheese, and 2 Tbsp parsley. Mix well and set aside.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

To assemble your homemade lasagna:

  1. spread a generous cup of the meat sauce into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish
  2. Arrange a layer of noodles (about 3 noodles) lengthwise over meat sauce.
  3. Spread with 1/2 of the ricotta cheese mixture.
  4. Top with 1/3 of the shredded mozzarella cheese.

Repeat steps 1 through 4 until you reach the top of the baking dish. Spray a sheet of aluminum foil with cooking spray to prevent sticking and cover the lasagna.

Cook the lasagna in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes. Rest lasagna for 15 minutes before serving. Make sure you have plenty of Jar Goods on hand when serving.
