The story of Jule’s began in 1962 on Westside Avenue in Jersey City, where Pa Vitelli first opened the doors to Jule’s Italian Restaurant. For over four decades, Jule’s was more than just a local eatery; it was a neighborhood landmark where the air was thick with the aroma of slow-simmering tomatoes and the sounds of family gatherings. At the heart of it all was Pa’s legendary tomato sauce—an 'outrageous' small-batch creation that powered the restaurant’s towering lasagnas and famous chicken parms. Today, we—brother and sister duo John and Laura Vitelli—carry that legacy forward. We’ve traded the restaurant kitchen for the jar, but the mission remains the same: simmering those same premium ingredients in small batches to bring a spoonful of Jersey City history and 'red sauce perfection' to your family’s table.

Even if you weren’t lucky enough to grab a booth at the original restaurant, you can still experience the ‘red sauce perfection’ that put Jule’s on the map.
