Cheese (and Sauce!) on Toast
 
Who says you can’t have hors d’oeuvres ready in under 15 minutes? Jar Goods' Cheese on Toast is one of the many ways you can sample all of our sauces, Classic Red, Classic Spicy, and Classic Vodka, in one recipe. Feeling fancy, but not looking to break your budget?  Many cheese shops, including the cheese counter at Whole Foods, offer an assortment of cheese odds and ends at a discounted price. Perfect for a wine and cheese night, or a quick appetizer before dinner, Jar Goods’ Cheese on Toast will become a staple of your happy hour at home. 

  • Baguettes or crackers
  • 1 tablespoon of Jar Goods Classic Red, Classic Spicy, Classic Vodka for every cracker or baguette slice
  • Assortment of cheeses- suggestions include swiss, cheddar, mozzarella and provolone
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oregano to finish

Heat broiler with rack 4 inches from the heat source (or set toaster oven to broil). Cut your baguette into 1-inch rounds. Align desired amount of crackers and baguette rounds onto a baking sheet. Evenly spread Jar Goods’ Classic Red, Classic Spicy, Classic Vodka onto rounds and crackers. Top each piece with different cheeses. Be sure to mix and match for variety. Place the pan into the oven. Broil until cheese is hot and slightly bubbly, about 3 minutes. Finish the appetizer with salt, pepper, and oregano  Serve warm.
